Rajasthan By-Elections 2018 Results: Congress Sweeps Mandalgarh, Alwar And Ajmer Polls. HIGHLIGHTS 1.Rajasthan Bypolls: Congress wins Mandalgarh Assembly seat from BJP. 2.Congress defeats BJP in Ajmer and Alwar parliamentary seats. The Congress Party clean sweeps in Rajasthan bypolls, Congress won the two parliamentary seats Alwar and Ajmer with the assembly segment Mandalgarh, all belong to the BJP in previous elections. In Alwar Lok Sabha seat Congress party won by over 1.96 lakh votes. There were 11 candidates on the ground of Alwar Lok Sabha seat. BJP has fielded Rajasthan minister Jaswant Singh Yadav from Alwar while Karan Singh Yadav was contesting on Congress ticket.The Alwar Lok Sabha seat had gone vacant after BJP MP Chand Nath died earlier last year.
